Snack and drink pairing, the South Indian way
Salt against fizz, chilli against sweet: how the House's two categories were designed to be bought together.
Beverages and snacks are separate categories on a shelf and a single decision at the counter. Most consumers buy one because of the other.
The pairings that work follow two rules. Chilli wants sweetness: Red Chilly Masti chips or Flaming Chilly Twists sit best with Sipon Mango or Fruzon Fizzy Orange. Salt and butter want carbonation and spice: Butter Murukku or salted peanuts against Bindu Fizz Jeera Masala or Bindu Salt Soda.
That is also why the House keeps both categories in one portfolio. A distributor stocking Snak Up has a reason to stock Bindu, and a retailer selling Bindu has a reason to hang a snack strip beside it.
